Our Whale Watching Boats & Crew

On your whale watching trip your safety and comfort are our number 1 consideration, as well as making sure you have an unforgettable encounter with the whales.

We operate two purpose built aluminium catamarans surveyed by our Ministry of Marine & Ports. Both boats have upper viewing decks for great topside viewing and photography. Each boat has a toilet with a holding tank, easy access dive platform and clear drop down covers in case of rain. The boats are powered by twin 150hp outboards ensuring we are able to cover a large area to find the user friendly whales.

Our qualified skippers and guides have a wealth of experience to ensure your safety and maximize your encounters. The decision to swim with the whales rests solely with the skipper. We take a maximum of 8 passengers per boat that is broken down into two groups of 4 plus a guide. Regulations stipulate no more than 4 swimmers plus a guide may be allowed in the water on any encounter and experience has shown by only having two groups nobody is disappointed.

You receive a full briefing on departure and a running commentary during the trip explaining the many facets of the whales behaviour you witness.

We supply snorkel gear, fresh fruit and bottled water for your trip. Packed lunches can be ordered if required.

One boat is based in Neiafu and will pickup from outer island resorts whilst the other boat is based at Mounu for our resort clients.

Trips depart at 08:30 returning around 15:30. Because of demand it is wise to pre-book.

Trips cost TOP350 per person. A 10% discount applies for 3 or more trips. We accept Visa or Mastercard - 5% service fee applies.
